Colorectal Cancer

Preventable. Treatable. Beatable.

Each year more than 145,000 people are diagnosed with colorectal cancer, often referred to as colon cancer, in the U.S. and almost 50,000 people die from it annually. The disease, however, is largely preventable with regular screening and is treatable with early detection.

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is proud to bring you www.screen4coloncancer.org, a web site dedicated to educating patients about colorectal cancer and what can be done to prevent it.

If you are over 50 or have a family history of colorectal cancer, talk to your doctor about getting screened today. Screening saves lives.
What to expect from your colonoscopy procedure

ASGE doctors walk viewers through a colonoscopy from preparation instructions to what happens during the procedure and what to expect after the exam.
